Aaron has been in the funeral industry for fifteen years working in a funeral home as well as delivering caskets. He now enjoys serving families at Fairmount through creating lasting memorial markers.

Alonso began his career working on the grounds at Fairmount Cemetery in April of 2001. He enjoys the opportunity to work outdoors and the wonderful Colorado weather.

Alvaro has been a part of the Fairmount family for over 20 years. He has held many positions on the grounds including interment and foundation crews. He loves the teamwork that goes into his job, and loves to see the result of everyones hard work come together to create beautiful final resting places for loved ones.

Andy Zavilla Vice President

Andy began his career at Fairmount more than 34 years ago. Starting his career from the ground up, Andy spent time learning every facet of cemetery operations including irrigation, new development, plot design, and finance. He oversees the protection of Fairmount’s water and natural resources as one of Colorado’s most beautiful and historic arboretums. He also helps to ensure the sustainability and preservation of Fairmount so that families will have a dignified and peaceful experience both today and in the future. Andy has been the Vice President of the Board of Directors since 2006.

Blake Merritt Mausoleum

I have happily been with Fairmount Mausoleum since 2017.  I help with funeral services as well as maintaining the building. I also enjoy delivering flowers for the Mausoleum as well as outside on the grounds. I am very grateful to be able to work in such a beautiful building every day.

Bob has been with Fairmount for 6 years now. He started off as a Family Service Counselor and enjoys helping and serving our Fairmount families.  He is honored to be a part of a team of people that strive each day, to do their best to take care of families.  He also enjoys being able to work at one of the most beautiful, peaceful places in Colorado.

After decades in the mortgage and real estate industry, Brandye started working at Fairmount in December 2022. She has always had a heart to serve others and is grateful to be able to assist families through what can be considered one of the most tender times in life. She is honored to work with such a professional and caring staff at one of the most beautiful cemeteries in Colorado.

Brooke graduated from Arapahoe Community College, with an associate degree in Mortuary Science. She is always eager to continue her education within funeral services. Brooke loves what she does and serving in our community.

Chris has been with Fairmount for 27 years. He started his career on the grounds crew, and for many years he has worked in the monument shop caring for families beautiful monuments.

Corey graduated from Arapahoe Community College's Mortuary Science Program in 2021 and joined Fairmount the same year. A Denver native, Corey feels lucky to work at such a beautiful cemetery enriched with history and sense of community in his home state. Corey is dedicated to helping families and feels honored to be able to serve his community.

Crystal graduated from the Mortuary Science program at Arapahoe Community College in 2013. She joined the Fairmount Family in 2013 as a Family Care Provider/Funeral Director. In 2018, she became the Lead Family Care Provider for the Fairmount Funeral Home. Crystal loves the sense of community and family that Fairmount has to offer.

Dave Rodgers Director of Mortuary Operations

I have worked for Fairmount Mortuary for 17 years now and also worked for the cemetery for a total of 6 years, 5 on the interment crew and 1 year at the monument shop. I have been an embalmer for 23 years now and have been a Certified Embalming Technician since 2001. What I like most about working for Fairmount is being a part of a team that strives for excellence and working at the most beautiful cemetery in Colorado.

Diane Kandt Administrative Assistant

Diane is a Denver native and Fairmount has always been a very special place to her; at present she has 26 family members and many friends and acquaintances who are resting at Fairmount.  Diane is a lover of nature and wildlife and says, "Where else can I go in the middle of the city and be in such beauty and nature and find such peace." Diane was involved in land development and home building and came to us in early 2009. Diane‘s heart is in serving people and cares for everyone who comes in our doors. She says, "Where else can I be that I can love people all day long.... this is my calling."

Joe Apodaca Director of Maintenance

Joe has been with Fairmount for 11 years. Joe is responsible for the lighting, heating, and air conditioning of the buildings of Fairmount Cemetery. He also paints and does drywall repairs as needed. He oversees the general maintenance of the buildings throughout Fairmount.

Joe Walters Mausoleum Manager

Started at Riverside Cemetery June 1978 seasonal summer, mostly mowing. After graduating high school returned in June 1979 full time, was on irrigation crew, did interments, painted office, chapel and crematory. Helped upgrade the greenhouse removing glass and installing new roof. In August 1981, transferred to Fairmount Mausoleum, doing building maintenance, entombments, inurnments, arranged and delivered flowers and in October 1988 became the Mausoleum Manager. I try to do right for all families.

John Touris Grounds Manager

John has been with Fairmount for 39 years. He started working on the mowing crew, then moved to the Maintenance Shop where he worked as a mechanic. He also worked on the foundation crew and interment crew. He was promoted to the Grounds Manager in 2014. John oversees all the daily operations of the grounds. He ensures that all funeral services are conducted with respect for the deceased and their family.

Karna O'Neill Branch Assistant Manager

Karna has been in and around Fairmount all her life. She started working for Fairmount in 2010, then in 2017, she left to pursue a successful career in beauty. Karna held Fairmount close to her heart in her time away, and in 2023 she listened to her calling and returned to Fairmount to help with the Fairmount Family Pet Loss Care and Quebec Place at Fairmount. In her spare time, she enjoys taking drives through Colorado’s beautiful mountains and spending time at home with her fur babies.

Kaylee Merritt Mausoleum

My journey at Fairmount Cemetery started when I was just fifteen years old. I would volunteer at the Mausoleum during holidays to place flowers for families. In 2016, I found the Mausoleum in need of a receptionist so I happily inquired. I spend my time at Fairmount taking flower orders for our customer's families. I also express my creativity filling those desired flower orders. I am eager to help anyone that enters our doors.

Kendra Briggs President

Kendra has been with Fairmount since 1998. She began as a Funeral Director and on July 1, 2020 became President of Fairmount Cemetery Company after 8 years of being the Vice President of Operations and Customer Service. Kendra monitors Fairmount’s operations to ensure efficiency and to provide the absolute best customer service to the families that entrust Fairmount. She also analyzes data and trends to better understand the changing needs of the families Fairmount serves. Kendra loves the fact that Fairmount remains dedicated to carrying out the founding families’ original vision and to provide a beautiful resting place for Colorado residents.

Kenneth Cochran Family Service Specialist

Kenneth has been with Fairmount since 2017 and has dedicated himself to helping families. He has an extensive background in customer service in several industries where he has been caringly and compassionately helping people. He is also is a licensed Life Insurance Producer in the state of Colorado. Kenneth loves the peacefulness and beauty that the Fairmount grounds have to offer families. Kenneth takes great pride when showing the grounds and assisting families with finding the services that will perfectly represent and celebrate the life of their loved one.

As a Colorado native Lena has spent her life admiring all the beauty that Colorado has to offer. Now being able to work at Fairmount which is rich with not only history but natural beauty is an honor. She graduated from Arapahoe Community College in 2019 from their Mortuary Science program but continues to learn and grow everyday while being part of such an amazing team here at Fairmount. She looks forward to working with families to help them remember and honor their loved ones.

Madi graduated from mortuary science school and joined Fairmount three years ago.  She has become an excellent funeral director and has a passion for helping families through their most difficult days.  Madi enjoys the beautiful cemetery grounds and being a part of the Fairmount community.

Nick has been with Fairmount for the last 8 1/2 years. Working on the grounds, he assists with caring for the grounds, setting foundations for monuments and assisting with the interments. Nick loves all the beauty and history that is here, and is honored to call Fairmount my office.

Robin Brilz Fairmount Heritage Foundation

Robin is the Director of the Fairmount Heritage Foundation for the past 3 years and involved with FHF since 2008 - helping to preserve the history of Fairmount and Riverside Cemeteries providing history and educational tours to the public. I enjoy the history of Fairmount and Riverside along with assisting families.

A records and archive manager professionally for over 35years - I am also an avid hiker and wildlife photographer - photographing throughout the Rocky Mountain Regions. While many photographic opportunities are within Riverside and Fairmount cemeteries, my favorite places are Rocky Mountain National Park and Mount Evans for the larger wildlife. When the mountains call – I must go!

Sam has been a part of the Fairmount Family for the last 4 years. As part of the grounds crew, Sam spends a great deal of time caring for the arboretum. He loves working outdoors here at Fairmount.

Sandy is a Colorado native and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. Fairmount is a dear friend of hers through volunteering with the Fairmount Heritage Foundation for years. The history, beauty and peace at Fairmount is so special.
